Built Green Required Education

The Built Green University, a day-and-a-half event, is the premier training vehicle for the Built Green Program, covering such topics as how to become a member of the program, registering and verifying your homes, and the technical and documentation requirements of the program.  While this training is a requirement for all builder and energy rater members, and developed specifically for the use of those members to align with the Built Green Checklist, it is also rich in energy and building science information for anyone interested in the growing green and energy efficient residential building industry.

Built Green Universities are typically delivered three times each calendar year, and are presented in different areas around the state over the course of the year.  The Spring Built Green University, typically in April, is usually located in Denver, with the two Fall Built Green Universities taking place elsewhere on the Front Range, Western Slope or in one of the mountain communities.  For the latest information on event schedules, please check back on this site.

Built Green University is the perfect opportunity for Sponsors* to showcase their products and services to those in attendance who will be seeking ways to meet the requirements of the Built Green Checklist and Program.  At every opportunity the attempt is made to locate Sponsor displays within the classroom rather than in the hallway outside.  This keeps you and your company in front of the attendees all day long, and gives the presenters the opportunity to call on you for dialogue during the session where appropriate.  This is a tremendous benefit, and is what keeps many Sponsors coming back to participate in Built Green University time after time.  Please click here for the current Sponsorship flyers for our upcoming events (Note, if an event is not currently scheduled, flyers from previous event will be posted as examples).

* NOTE, YOU MUST BE A CURRENT SPONSOR* OF THE BUILT GREEN PROGRAM IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR SPONSORSHIP OF THIS EVENT.  PLEASE CALL THE BUILT GREEN OFFICE FOR PROGRAM SPONSORSHIP DETAILS & WAIVERS FOR LOCAL COMPANIES @ 303-551-6725

I felt that Built Green University was so educational and inspirational.  Thanks to you, Justin, and all that made it such a professional venue for energy efficiency building.

To promote trade, you need partners. With consumer demand driving so many builders today to "think green", our partnership with Built Green Colorado and our ongoing Sponsorship of the Built Green Universities has helped us promote Canadian green products and bring more companies into this market.
