Energy and Environmental Affairs Committee
As a program of the Home Builders Association f Metro Denver, general oversight
of Built Green Colorado is the responsibility of the Energy and Environmental
Affairs Committee (EEAC) under the administrative guidance of the program
director.
The EEAC reports on an annual basis to the HBA Board of Directors regarding
the activities and status of the program. The EEAC is open to all members of the
HBA and is headed by two co-chairs chosen in alternate years, typically one
builder and one sponsor member of Built Green. The program director, with
guidance from committee members, selects co-chairpersons from among the
committee members. The President of the HBA ultimately ratifies co-chair
selections.
The EEAC provides direction to the program director regarding format,
development, and operation of the program, including programmatic and technical
issues, annual review and updating of the Checklist, marketing and promotional
strategies and materials, event participation and planning, program goals,
builder and consumer education, membership structure and fees, and budgeting.
Any proposed substantive changes to the program or its Checklist must be
subsequently reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors of the HBA.
