1998 Built Green Award Winners
Three local homebuilders earned top Built Green
awards last year, bringing the Built Green concept to the forefront of
the homebuilding industry. US Home was named Built Green
Homebuilder of the Year with nearly 1000 new Built Green homes in
the metro Denver area. Jeff Whiton, US Home President, noted that
"This isn't just about selling more homes. This is about
keeping our customers satisfied and making a lasting contribution to our
community.
John Kurowski of Kurowski Development Company
was named Custom Build Green Builder of the Year. Kurowski
believes all builders share a duty to build the best houses they
possibly can. "We have the technology to design and build
homes that save energy," he says. "We need to do just
that."
The Built Green Home of the Year award went to
McStain Enterprises for their home at the Lowry Parade of Homes.
Their Built Green home combines state-of-the-art systems with the
country charm of a Victorian cottage. McStain Enterprises has been
pushing the envelope of green design for many years, thus gaining
national attention as Built Green builders.
Our congratulations to these award winning
